Making Life Easier As A Writer
Today I finally installed my Microsoft Office 2007 program onto my internet computer. It’s great, because I can use all the cool tools in the program and do a spell check before I post my articles online. Before I was always having to proof read everything and I would type up a whole article and the site would go down and not save any of it! In the past month, I must have turned off my computer out of sheer frustration due to this ongoing issue. I finally told myself, I just have to load it onto the computer and life will be so much easier!I figured since my computers pretty slow, that word would make it worse. It actually hasn’t and I find now that I have Word 2007, I’m more inclined to write something. It’s true I get loads of ideas during the day, even when exercising (they seem to flood my mind at that time when I CANNOT write them down!) and I totally lose the idea after my workout is done. I thought of a great invention. How about something to clip on my shirt that will record my voice and playback later? Even better, have a USB connection and download it directly to a computer, or no USB and just hit SEND on it and it will email it to you as a voice file? I haven’t looked through the Microsoft research site that I joined to see if one has already been invented. So many cool gizmo’s and gadgets in the works, I just had to sign up and read about Future toys!I realized that the movies we go to see actually advertise these new gadgets before they are released on the market. The hologram, designs on Iron Man while he’s working on the suit? That is something Microsoft intends to launch by 2019 for the modern day office/engineering technology. The biggest problem that I can see is the price tag. The software I got in a student package for $150, is actually about $1000 if you buy each program individually! I’m looking for a program that will automatically do what an editor or publisher does for a cheaper price. I find the spell check program isn’t entirely correct, and why isn’t it? I think with the technology that we have today there should not be any errors on this program. It really needs to develop the grammar side of things, and make coherent sentences and add correct spelling, but then again, I find we get lazy if the computer does all the work and not ourselves. How else do you learn from your mistakes, if they are automatically corrected? Just some food for thought for today while you sit down and write, make sure you try out the Microsoft Office 2007 60 day trial program, I’m sure you will love it!
