Wishing you a Happy Easter from The Idea Girl
As we take time to celebrate Easter and what it means to us, let’s think for a moment if things had been different. In Christianity, if there was never a mention of a God or Jesus dying, then we’d have to find something else to believe in. What would it be then? Would we believe in a higher power and hope that it was in control of our world? Or would we feel helpless and hopeless in times of trouble? Who would we turn to in prayer if there were no God to speak to? God has become a source of comfort and inspiration to millions of people in the world. As you celebrate Good Friday and Easter Sunday, remember that what you believe in, gives you hope for tomorrow. If you knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the world would end in the year 2012, what would you do differently? Would you spend more time praying to God and making sure your soul’s ready for heaven? Would you take more time to spend with your loved ones before it all vanished into thin air. We don’t know what the future holds for us. We can live day after day, save money, toil at our jobs, fight with our loved ones and live a life of bitterness and unforgiveness. On the other hand we can choose to love, forgive and believe in a higher power that will deliver us from all evils here on earth, including an escape route, in case the earth does decide to blow up or an asteroid decides to hit earth and destroy all of humanity. It really boils down to what we want to believe in. What will comfort us when we need comforting. What our parents taught us and what the people around us believe. It all has some form of significance that we cannot fathom unless we live in a “spiritual” state of mind. I’m listening to Mozart’s
and I have read that listening to his music stimulates the brain and helps to expand the mind. Enjoy your Easter with your family. Have fun celebrating what you believe in and enjoy being around the people that you love.
