Twitter CNN’s Rick Sanchez and learn something new

rick-sanchez.jpg I love Rick Sanchez’s Show, it’s cool, upbeat and I can participate in it using Twitter.  I am “The Idea Girl” and I love to talk to people on twitter and on my blogs.  One of the things I do is watch CNN during my mini coffee breaks.  By doing this a couple of times a day I keep current on what’s happening in our world. This provides excellent fodder for conversation and stops us from repeating that dreadful question everyone asks “How’s the weather?”  Instead today I can ask, “Hows the G20 Summit in London and what do you think about all those protesters?”  They did a street survey and most of the individuals shown pictures of the world’s dignitaries, didn’t have the foggiest idea of who they were looking at, that is except President Obama.  Everyone knows who he is,  including myself. For years, I have not followed politics and if you were to ask me who my world leaders were, I would have given you a blank stare and shrugged my shoulders.  Now I’m taking the time to educate myself in the world of politics, thanks to CNN’s programming.  The more up-to-date you are, the more it shows people that you believe in being an interesting person, have knowledge and they won’t mind striking up a conversation with you when they see you around town or online.  Nothing worse then talking to someone who has repeated themselves a hundred times about their dog, husbands, grandfathers ailments.  We’d rather talk about something intriguing that stimulates our brains.  If we ask about the family then fine, tell us how grandma’s rheumatism is.  If we don’t then please refrain from sharing “too much information.”
