How did you celebrate Earth Hour?
I enjoyed some quality time with my sweetie in the dark with no TV, radio, computer or lights. Complete darkness, except for the street lights. I was wondering why my street lights were on. I think it would have been scary to be in total darkness though. You hear every creaking noise of the house and you wonder what it is. I guess with the TV on all the time or music playing (I put on a Sleep Meditation Cd for bedtime - cures insomnia) you don’t hear all those weird noises. There was a stillness in the air, I could almost hear the Earth breathing a sigh of relief . It was resting with us for an hour. Even the dog and rabbit were still, which is unusual, Bugsy our rabbit, constantly does a dance in his cage. He likes to fly back and forth and in circles, especially at night. He was quiet as a mouse, probably wondering why the house was in total darkness. Usually Daisy, the dog, would bark at the slightest noise (we heard many). It was weird because I knew when it was exactly 9:30 p.m. something told me I could put the lights back on and when I looked at the clock I was shocked. It’s our intuition speaking to us, we had an hour to just sit and listen. It was just like meditating, no distractions and you had time alone with yourself or with another person. I was trying to walk around in my bathroom and had to use my cell phone light, I kept tripping over things. I had a feeling of what it was like to be blind for a moment, and it made me appreciate the fact that I don’t have to struggle with blindness. I believe in Karma, and I think that the people that take time to care for the Earth, will be protected by the Earth. The people that don’t show any love or care of the Earth, will be destroyed by the Earth. It was a message from the Universe to my mind. It came clear as day, and I wasn’t even praying or thinking of any “spiritual” things. It was just there. It may be something hard to swallow, but, I believe I am supposed to share that one thought with all of you…
