Sun Therapy - Brighten Your Day
A good way to beat the winter blues, is spend time each day in the sunlight. I find laying on my couch at certain times of the day, I can close my eyes and enjoy the sun directly on my face. It’s my idea of “Sun Therapy”, after finding out it would cost over $200 for a light therapy machine, I decided to try this instead. Every morning, I log onto my computer, put on my “Good Morning Meditation You Tube Music,” checking emails, Facebook, and my tweets. Then I spend 15 minutes laying on the couch with the sun in my face. My miniature poodle “Daisy” loves to lay on top of me or beside me (if my back is too sore) and she gets her cuddle time. She looks forward to this everyday and it’s our one on one time. She’s a very affectionate dog and loves to cuddle all day. I don’t have time to do that, between reading several books, writing articles online and keeping up with 100’s of Tweets, I take time out of my day for her and my Honey. I take her out for a few walks, or to the doggy park. I like to sit on a bench there and get some sun as well. I get to meet new people every day and learn more about pets. It’s pretty cool. You can go at any time of the day and have someone to chat with while your dog plays.Reading near sunlight, basking in the sun directly and going for at least a 20 minute walk about 3 times a day, is great for you and your dog. (feel free to include other pets and kids too)It breaks up the day and gets rid of the Winter Blues, Depression and it works up a great appetite while getting some much needed exercise.
