American Idol - And then there were 13!
Anoop DesaiSimon Cowell shocked us all tonight on American Idol when he announced that Anoop Desai would be the 13th Idol! I shouted and had tears in my eyes, for he truly deserves the spot with his amazing voice.
I have to say, if Tatiana could stop being such a drama queen all the time, maybe someone would offer her a record deal. The girl has an amazing voice but her stage theatrics, leave much to be desired! I wish her well as she becomes a model/singer/actress, she’s a beautiful girl with a big voice but seems to have issues in other things. I hope she gets some coaching on how to behave in public and then goes after her dreams of being a star. I do worry that she won’t be able to handle the pressures though. We have seen what happens to stars that have break downs, they pretty much end up toasted on drugs, drunk and feeling down on themselves. Its too bad because whatever they do, we always remember the bad times and seem to forget the good times.I must say though, some of the song choices tonight were kind of dreary and morbid at times, which didn’t make sense. I miss last years David Cook type of performances, he really rocked us all the way through, I wish someone on Idol would do the same. I’m hoping Allison Iraheta will do some more rock n roll songs as she’s got the perfect voice for it! I’m kind of surprised that Felicia Barton didn’t make it through, she kind of reminded me of Nelly Furtado in a way, I thought she was marvellous and I was pretty disappointed when she didn’t make the top 12 (now 13). I’m sure that some of the girls will still make CDs, as in the past, it doesn’t really matter if you don’t make it to the end, you can be number 1 if you put your heart and soul into it, the name Chris Daughtry certainly comes to mind.
