Twitter Me - The Idea Girl

I found a new toy on the net, “Twitter Me .” It kind of reminds me of ICQ but with no, “oh, oh.” I used to love ICQ, when it came out over 10 years ago, I was on it constantly chatting with my freinds hitting CTRL G (foghorn) and transferring files back and forth. My how life has changed! You know when you get in a relationship, it seems that your “Single Priorities” really change tremendously! I know mine have. I feel kind of foolish because I really haven’t paid much attention to the internet lately. I guess I had other things on my mind (doing a lot of reading, writing a novel, recouperating from a car accident, dealing with the deaths of mom, dad and several other family and friends. Now I’m spending too much time on here again, almost day and night at times and I’m paying the price. No sleep, I’m cranky and i’m tired. So I have vowed to myself to do a few things for the month of march (drumroll please ahem… bucket list… scanning now), okay, it says here when the snow stops, let’s travel, do some hiking and go swimming again.I went swimming yesterday and such lovely cold weather outside that I had the chills all night. Needless to say, I kind of avoided that “goal” for today, but I managed to go for a nice long walk in the mall. I found some fantastic storage containers at Home Sense (14.99 each in the baby section) for my office. I also browsed around the dollar store and got some cool funky chic notepads(little gizmos for my purse - the big 200 page one can’t fit in my smaller purse), another storage basket (for my new office supplies - my other ones is overflowing and I keep on stepping on pens and things) and some paperclips. I never buy paperclips, well not since grade 8. I have been reading “The New Writers Handbook 2007″ and it is so facinating. I’m also simultaneously reading 4 other books this week: Grammar Girls Quick and Dirty Tips, The Canadian Writers Guide (13th Edition), Scholastic Writer’s Desk Reference and 2007 Writers Market. I seem to manage my reading time from 830 am till 1030 am. It’s when the sun beams through my living room window and I lay on the couch envisioning that I am suntanning on a warm beach somewhere(i’m really under two blankets, my house is freezing!) and I have my hot cup of coffee(always gets cold and I forget about it but hey it smells lovely and stimulates the brain) and my toast. My little miniature poodle “daisy” loves my peanut butter toast crusts. Ever since I was a child I would eat all the bread except the crusts, now I no longer feel guilty about not eating them. They are wonderful tidbits to train your dog. I am currently training daisy how to lay down and be quiet. Something she really refuses to do once in the car. If ANYONE can offer advice how to train her better, I’m all ears! I did try Cesar Milan’s tips, although great, she ate 1/4 brick of cheese and is currently suffering constipation this week (poor doggy). However it did keep her quiet on a 30 minute run to a friends house, but the drawback was my arm ached all night from twisting around in the front seat to give her the little pieces of cheese to keep her quiet. I’m debating about buying some “industrial ear plugs” instead. It would be cheaper and I could block out her constant whining :) I promise not to ramble on every time I do write something, I’m just at a loss on what to write about today.
I did manage to make several more Squidoo lens, I updated the Christmas one, created Spring Break for kids , Spring Break for teens , Party time for kids , Party time for Adults and I have loads of meal planning, recipes and theme party ideas on there. So if your interested and want to plan a really cool party sometime, just Twitter Me - “The Idea Girl” and you can see all the little things I do day and night. As for my night time, I don’t sleep much and well making a Lens for Squidoo helps me learn new things, do cool research and better myself in my ambitions to be an awesome writer and novelist someday! Oh and one more thing, I think Katie Holmes looks incredible on Glamour’s April Edition.
