I’ve got the Winter Blues!
There is nothing worse then suffering from “cabin fever.” Don’t you find yourself constantly wishing you could go outside for a walk or something? The air is minus twenty and you freeze as soon as you go out the door. It is important to get some fresh air everyday no matter how cold it is. Make sure you bundle up and go for a short walk around the block at least twice a day. It’s a great way to beat the feeling of claustrophobia from being in the house all day. I find it a great time to clean the house from stem to stern. It kills time and energy in a very quick manner. Then you can take the time to pull out a cook book and try something new and wonderful for dinner or dessert.
Think about a new hobby that you would like to try and do it! I find if you divide your day up into segments of three or four that this will help the day pass much more quickly! Let’s say you take the morning to run some errands and you find that your too tired to do anything later on in the day. It’s best to do a few things in the morning like have a cup of coffee and read a chapter of a book. Then take an hour to do some house cleaning, sorting or hobby time. Have some lunch then head out the door for a five minute walk. Go run a few errands for the next hour and then go home. Check your email and do some surfing for about an hour. Plan what needs to be done for the next day. Make your supper and then do your dishes. Finally sit down to a really good book for another hour then watch a movie. If you find you have an hour or two before bedtime, take this time to pamper yourself. You could have a nice bubble bath, do your nails, cut your toe nails. You get the general idea.
